1. A cultural tour of museums and palaces
The journey of discovery of Pesaro can only begin with its historic center and the palaces that grace its squares and streets.
We begin with the Ducal Palace, a majestic historic building located in Piazza del Popolo, the beatinh heart of Pesaro: a true gem of Renaissance architecture.
Not far from Piazza del Popolo is Palazzo Mosca, a building that is home to the Civic Museums, where it is possible to admire the Coronation of the Virgin, belonging to Giovanni Bellini, considered a masterpiece of the Renaissance, and Ferruccio Mengaroni's Medusa, a majestic work ( its diameter measures more than 2 meters) made in ceramics by the artist who was born right in Pesaro.

The Oliverano Museum, one of the oldest in the area, is the ideal place for those who want to discover the history of Pesaro and this region. For those on the hunt for Instagrammable places, right in the courtyard of the Civic Museums is Wall of Books, an open-air bookstore by Stefano Lazaridis.
The Sfera Grande created by Arnaldo Pomodoro is one of the symbols and prides of the city as it is one of three examples found worldwide; the other two are in Rome and New York
2. In the footsteps of the famous composer Gioacchino Rossini
Born in Pesaro on February 29, 1792, the composer Gioacchino Rossini lives again in the works dedicated to him in the city: from Teatro Rossini, a wonderful building in neoclassical style, to Casa Rossini, the authentic home where the renowned composer was born and lived for the first years of his life, to the Rossini National Museum, located inside Palazzo Montani Antaldi.
That's not all. This year, on February 29, the city will pay homage to the composer from Pesaro on the exact day of his birthday with several events including the inauguration of one of the iconic venues of the Italian Capital of Culture 2024, the Scavolini Auditorium.
And again, from August 7 to 23, 2024, the 45th edition of the Rossini Opera Festival, the internationally significant opera music festival that has been held in the city since 1980, will take place.
This year, the festival will treat its guests to five operas - including the Barber of Seville - for a total of 30 performances that will bring the city to life.
The strong bond between the city and Rossini resulted in Pesaro becoming a Unesco Creative City of Music in 2017.

3. 3. Riding along the Bicipolitana
Nearly 100 kilometers of bike paths designed like a subway bring the Bicipolitana of Pesaro to life, which holds the national record for the longest bike path within the city center of a regional capital. The Bicipolitana makes it possible to discover and enjoy the city while riding: the bike paths, in fact, connect the sea with the town center, the different neighborhoods in the area and Pesaro's most important places of interest.
To take in the true essence of Pesaro and its environs, Lindbergh Hotels & Resorts provides guests staying in one of its three properties (Excelsior SPA & Lido, Nautilus Family Hotel and Charlie Urban Hotel) with bikes that can be used to discover the city in a green way and at a slower pace.
Not far from Charlie Urban Hotel and easily accessible by bicycle is the Monte San Bartolo Regional Natural Park, which gives the opportunity to enjoy the unspoiled nature with the sea in the background.

4. A tasty break to enjoy the culinary tradition of the Marche region.
It is well-known that food is one of the distinctive traits of a destination.
The history and traditions of a place are often told even at lunch, through dishes and specialties that showcase the local ingredients.
Tourists traveling to Pesaro can taste some of the traditional delicacies, such as, for example, cannelloni alla Rossini (handmade pasta filled with chicken and veal livers and porcini mushrooms), olivette di vitello alla Rossini (meat rolls stuffed with basil and Carpegna prosciutto) or cappelletti alla pesarese (egg pasta stuffed with local beef).
One cannot fail to mention pizza Rossini, Pesaro's recipe for pizza margherita with the addition of hard-boiled eggs and mayonnaise, which was created in the 1960s within a bakery that began offering these pizzas as an ideal aperitif snack.
And of course, as Pesaro overlooks the Adriatic coast, many seafood dishes are obviously served in the many restaurants along the seafront.
The dishes are paired with wines produced in this area such as Bianchello del Metauro DOC and Sangiovese dei Colli Pesaresi.
